Oil Change

When you are an owner of a vehicle, there are a few things you must do to ensure that your vehicle continues to run the way it was designed. One of the quickest, cheapest, and easiest things you can do to care for your vehicle is to get the oil changed. Every manufacturer has different recommendations as to how often and at what mileage you should have your oil change done. Check your owner’s manual for the exact mileage your car’s maker recommends and don’t allow that mileage to pass without getting it done. Neglecting an oil change will result in causing stress and unnecessary wear on your engine, which could cause it to stop running well before its time. I don't trust them at all. They wanted to charge me over $2600 for oil leak and a/c leak, including silly fees like a credit card fee. I took it to another mechanic I do trust and he charged me all of $60 and said there's no oil leak, the engines probably burning it, and got my a/c working again. That's a huge difference in price!

Jed Casper, we appreciate your feedback and value your opinion. We would like to know more about how your visit went. I looked over your Repair Order from your recent visit. The documentation is very clear. The technician documented that the engine was covered in engine oil when you first brought the vehicle in and we had to perform an engine cleaning and degreasing, to isolate your engine oil leaks. I see you did authorize that to be performed. After the clean & degrease, the technician found two different oil leaks. One was coming from the Valve Cover Gasket and the other looked to be from the Rear Main Seal. Not sure why another mechanic would inform you that the vehicle doesn't have an oil leak based on what was documented. The Air Conditioning system also had a couple of refrigerant leaks and was very low on charge, causing the A/C System not to operate. One of the refrigerant leaks is from the A/C Compressor and the other from the A/C Schrader fittings. The technician performed a very thorough inspection of the A/C System and found that because of the refrigerant leaks the compressor had come apart internally causing metal contamination in the A/C System to be present. Unfortunately it is unlawful (Federal Law) for us to perform an A/C System recharge with known leaks. We understand that there are always cheaper and riskier options, and some shops/ mechanics are willing to take those risks. However, we want to be as transparent as possible with our services while offering quality auto repair. Basically, we don't want you to have problems after we perform the necessary repairs, evidently costing more money in the long run. The CC Surcharge is a valid charge, backed by Georgia State Laws, because of the cost in processing credit cards. If you pay with Cash, Business Check, Money Order, or Cashiers Check, we do not charge that surcharge. It is completely your right and choice to pay with a credit card and we respect that. We won't always be the cheapest because we back our services with a 36Month/ 36,000 Miles Parts & Labor Warranty, and employee ASE Certified Technicians and stay up-to-date with automotive technical training. We charge a very fair price for our integrity and for our nationwide warranty. I will reach out to you directly to discuss further.
