Wiper Blade Options - Best Auto Repair Experience Automotive Tips

Wiper blades are critically important to drivers for good driving visibility and safety. When it’s time to replace your wiper blades, there are a number of different wiper blade designs and grades to choose from. Drivers should always use at least the design or grade that came with their vehicle, from the factory.   If you live in Georgia, where there is a lot of wet weather, flying insects, or you do a lot of highway driving, you may want to upgrade to a more advanced design or premium quality wiper blade. Your friendly and professional Best Auto Repair Experience service advisor can share the options available for your vehicle and help you decide which wiper blades are optimal for your needs.   There are several important factors that go into how often Cartersville drivers should replace their wiper blades. Why do I need a new Serpentine Belt?

Why do I need a new Serpentine Belt?

Any driver who understands preventive maintenance, knows that “if it ain't broke, don't fix it” is not always the best auto advice. Most of the time, replacing a part before it breaks is much more cost effective for residents than after the component has failed. A good example of this is the serpentine belt. The serpentine belt gets its name because of its circuitous path around the engine. The serpentine belt is driven by the engine and powers a number of other components and various other systems, such as: 1. The serpentine belt spins the A/C Compressor. This component contributes to the cool air generated from the air conditioning system. 2. The serpentine belt powers the alternator. The alternator generates electricity for use in the vehicle's electrical systems and to charge the battery. Without the alternator, the battery wouldn't last more than a few miles, leaving the vehicle stranded. 3. In many ... read more

Wheel Alignment Problems - Best Auto Repair Experience Service Tip

Wheel Alignment Problems - Best Auto Repair Experience Service Tip

Your car might have an alignment problem if it drifts or pulls to one side, the steering wheel is off center, have uneven tire wear or the car just doesn't feel like it handles right. Commonly running into potholes around Cartersville, smacking a curb or hitting other objects in the roadway, are all great ways to knock your car out of alignment. Then, one or more of your wheels starts pulling in a slightly different direction and the problems begin. Don't worry, it just means you need to get the alignment checked. There are several things involved in performing an alignment at Best Auto Repair Experience. First, there's an inspection of the steering and suspension systems - these components should be checked to see if anything's bent, broken or possible worn. Then the tire condition needs to be inspected. From there, the vehicle is put on an alignment rack and an initial alignment reading is taken. If the vehicle's ... read more

Tow Safely in Cartersville, Georgia

Tow Safely in Cartersville, Georgia

Towing in Cartersville, drivers figure that anything they can attach to their trailer hitch can be towed by their vehicle. This is not the case. If you're going to do any towing, you should be aware of safety issues, Georgia towing laws and the potential liability. Understanding tow ratings is important for safe towing. A tow rating is the weight limit that your vehicle can safely tow. Manufacturers calculate the tow rating for every vehicle, but different options on the vehicle can affect that rating. Drivers need to read the towing section in their owner's manual to get the specific tow rating for the vehicle they own. Your trailer hitch also has a weight limit, and it may not match the tow rating for your vehicle. Your vehicle may be rated for 10,000 pounds (4,500 kg) but if you have a 2,000-pound (900 kg) hitch limit you shouldn't be towing more than 2,000 pounds (900 kg). If you tow a 10,000-pound (4,500 kg) trailer on that hitch, it could bre ... read more
